Demand and Audience Research for a Mobile Game Launch
Results:

  • CTR up to 4.3%, CPL at $1.42;
  • The most engaged audience segment was men and women aged 25–35 interested in visual puzzle and story-driven games;
  • The UK and Germany showed the strongest engagement, while the US delivered strong conversion but at a higher CPL;
  • 2 working hypotheses were validated, while the others were ruled out;
  • 533 survey responses, 1,437 visits, and detailed behavioural insights by segment.
Outcome:

The research helped the client refine the target audience, validate key gameplay hypotheses, and identify the creative elements that resonated most. As a result, the project gained a clear foundation for both the marketing funnel and the game launch strategy.

As a marketer on the PlayLife project, I conducted demand and audience research through digital campaigns. The goal was to test game concepts and visual directions, identify the most engaged audience segments, and understand which countries showed the strongest launch potential.

What I Did

  • Developed 15+ hypotheses across characters, gameplay mechanics, and player motivators;
  • Set up multi-variant A/B tests across Meta Ads and Google Ads;
  • Tested 6 landing pages, each tailored to a specific audience segment;
  • Segmented traffic by gender, age, interests, and behavioural patterns;
  • Collected behavioural data and lead responses, then turned them into structured insights for the client.
